It seems Zoe Saldaña's piece of Cartier jewelryis truly remarkable. Although it may feel like an eon ago, the 2023 Academy Awards were just a few days ago (we assume that the winners are still out celebrating, and we certainly can't say that we blame them).
Once the awards were presented, there was, of course, a flurry of after-parties, at which practically every famous person made an appearance.
One of the most prestigious after-parties was the annual celebration that was held by Vanity Fair, and it was attended by almost everyone prominent.
That provided the celebrities with the opportunity to change into something that was a bit more comfortable, and for Avatar star Zoe Saldana, that meant switching out of her feather-light Fendi couture and into a piece of art from Cartier that blurred the borders between jewelryand couture.
At the celebrations, Saldaña dressed in Cartier's Tressage Cape, which seemed like a work of art due to the mesh and jewels that were used in its construction.

The delicate piece of jewelry was constructed out of chainlinks that gave the impression of being made of sheer fabric.
In addition, it had a number of facetted diamondsthat functioned as fasteners to keep everything in its proper position (hopefully).
In a post on its Instagram account, Cartier revealed additional information about the ensemble, stating, "Actress @zoesaldana debuted the uniquely precious Tressage Cape, blurring lines between couture craftsmanship and jewelry, from the #CartierLibre collection."
She paired the attention-grabbing crop top with a long and sophisticated skirt from the Michael Kors Collection as well as a bag from the Tyler Ellis line.
The design that Saldaña wore was mostly formed of Fendi clothing; yet, Cartier provided a touch of shine to the ensemble.
She mentioned in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that she adores wearing vintagepieces from the illustrious French brand because doing so is analogous to having one's hands on a piece of history.
This was in reference to the fact that wearing vintage pieces is a trend that has recently gained popularity.
I lovethat idea of loving beautiful pieces with a history. There is beauty in the doable, simple things for me.- Saldaña
In addition to that, she was wearing a Pluie de Cartier Arabesque collar necklace. This necklace had a design that was inspired by the aesthetic of the past.
In addition to that, she added that the brand of her bag was one that was cognizant of its impact on the environment.
The Tyler Ellis envelope clutch was made by local artisans in Italy, the vast majority of whom were women. They used satin that was free of any PFCs and leather that was sourced from tanneries that adhered to ethical standards for crafting the clutch.
She said, What strikes me as really relatable is that sustainability inspires us to ask a few more questions, probe a little deeper, and go beyond the aesthetic.- Zoe Saldaña
