To mark 10 years, Alison Lou throws a ‘CeLOUbration’. This month, the New York City-based fine jewelrybrand known for its fun approach to fine jewelry has put out a collection called "CeLOUbration" to mark its 10th anniversary.

The hero pieces are pendantsthat look like old jewels from the early to mid-20th century that had clear messages on them like "Congratulations" or "Happy Birthday."

Alison Lou's Very First Label

Alison Lou is a fine jeweler known for its cheeky designs and engagement ringsworn by Jennifer Lawrence and Emily Ratajkowski.

Alison Chemla started the label in 2012, and it is now open at 994B Madison Avenue, which is part of the Mark Hotel. The store is the size of a jewelry box.

All of Alison Lou's collections are in the 480-square-foot space, which also has a special earring bar so that shoppers can easily style their lobes with the brand's colorful studs and hoop earring charms.

As a courtesy to their more daring customers, ear piercers often hold events at their shops. The store also has a section for pieces that can be customized and ordered in a wide range of bright enamel colors.

The Alison Lou View Embraces Midcentury Art Deco

Alison Lou's take on the look embraces the midcentury kitsch with its nod to big moments in life. The 14-karat goldnecklaceshave medallions with messages like "Just Married," "Welcome Home," and "I LoveYou." The enamel and diamondson the symbols match the messages.

For example, "Happy Anniversary" shows a ball-and-chainwith pavé black diamonds, which is a trademark of the brand. Signet ringsalso have the same symbols on them.

The collection was made by designer Alison Chemla with parties and celebrations in mind. She told National Jeweler:

With our 10-year anniversary coming up in November I wanted to celebrate this huge milestone with a collection. This CeLOUbrations collection also celebrates the world coming out of the pandemic and getting ready to get back to life and celebrate all occasions again, with a bang.- Alison Lou

The collection isn't just medallions and signets; the outline of symbols like butterflies, flowers, hearts, and initials is inspired by the texture of party streamers, continuing the theme of the celebration.

There are also rings, stud earrings, and braceletsin the mix. Some of them have bright stripes of enamel to make them stand out.

In addition to the brand's cocktail ringsand earrings, there are also colored gemstone pieces with enamel halos that look like "streamers."

The collection starts with a small stud earring that costs $315 and ends with a multi-gemstone cocktail cuff bracelet with enamel that costs $4,675. Most of the pieces cost between $1,000 and $2,000.
